The Griffin iTrip Auto is constructed with a built-in FM stereo antenna and a high-stability crystal oscillator with phase-lock loop control. The 9501-TRIPCB is powered by an included 12-volt cigarette lighter power adapter that features an easily replaceable fuse through which it also charges your iPod. Customer ReviewsBy Shane Johnson (Florida) At $18, this is a great value, which skews the review a bit, because I have some nagging issues with this. The power saving feature is annoying because it means I hear (loud) static on my radio when I stop playing my iPod. This occurs occasionally as one podcast ends before I can start the next or if I just want a break. Also annoying is the fact that it does not remember the last frequency used on startup; it goes to some random channel and then I have to tune it in again to what I need it to be. I also wish the cord were 6-10 inches longer. On the good side, it broadcasts sound well, especially on 87.9FM. The construction seems durable and is easy to transport between cars. Again, this was a steal at $18, so I ranked this a four despite my nags with it. By W. malaqui this is my second purchase ...and i will recommend this to others as well ... By Andrew J. Olson (Durham, NC) I use this in my work truck to podcast talk radio mostly. The sound quality is pretty good. Of course its better than the am reception the show I podcast is on. I also listen to music and the quality is better than expected. You can tune almost the entire range of radio stations and it has 4 presets so as I move around the state I sometime change between two stations. I would buy this again and recommend to others. The sound quality is great and way better than I was expecting. For this price and type of item you can't get a better deal. Definitely a must buy for any iPod owner.
